Doing it for the plot.

Ankit Mukherjee is a marketing strategist who works with startups, nonprofits, institutions and small businesses to develop marketing strategies, build brands and bring ideas to life. His work is less about clever taglines and more about helping organizations understand what actually makes them distinctive, then translating that into positioning, strategy and creative that connects with the people they're trying to reach.

At 17, he landed his first design client out of New York City, and marketing has been the throughline of his career ever since. Over the past eight years he's worked across an advertising agency, a fintech startup, several fundraiser campaigns, national marketing campaigns and a retail transformation project. This past year alone, he's won five startup pitch competitions.

In his final semester at the University of Lethbridge, spring 2025, he built SnackRadar, a platform that helps students find free food on campus. Since launching, it's been used by more than 3,000 students, cutting down food waste while getting food to people who need it.

After finishing his B-Mgt degree, Ankit moved to Calgary, where he's been helping build early-stage startups, working on small business revitalization projects, and running fundraiser campaigns. He's also a founding member of a co-working club he started with friends, a space that brings together developers, musicians, filmmakers and other creatives and entrepreneurs to work on ideas, collaborate, and host events and workshops.

Outside of work, Ankit is drawn to good design, good food, and the history behind the spaces we spend time in. He likes experimenting with new technology, and he genuinely enjoys talking to people and learning how ideas can be used to solve real problems, ideally while making the process enjoyable for everyone involved. Earlier this summer he ran his first half marathon. It wasn't easy, but crossing that finish line is one of the things he's proudest of this year.
